On yearly billing, Mentionlytics Essential is $141 a month and Brand24 Team is $299 a month, as read on October 24, 2026. Mentionlytics also sells a Basic plan, whose price its page marks as a limited-time offer, so this comparison starts at Essential. On monthly billing, Mentionlytics's page data gives about $169 a month for Essential, and Brand24 Team is $349 a month.

Keyword rules against keywords

A Mentionlytics keyword rule is a keyword, a phrase, or a set of included and excluded keywords, so one rule can group several terms. Each word or phrase in Brand24 counts as its own keyword.

An agency with five client brands needs at least five Brand24 keywords, so Team's 7 fit and Individual's 3 do not. They need at least five Mentionlytics rules, so Essential's 10 fit. Essential lists 10 users and Team lists unlimited. The mention pool is shared by all five brands: 15k a month on Essential, 10k on Team.

For client separation, Brand24 suggests one project per client, and its help center describes giving a user access to one project only. Mentionlytics lists separate client accounts as optional on its Business plan, $624 a month, billed yearly.

Update speed, users, archive and sources

Mentionlytics updates every 6 hours on Essential and continuously from Advanced, and keeps an 18-month archive. Brand24 updates every hour on Team and in real time from Pro, which Brand24 words as up to 15 minutes. Its archive is one month on Individual and twelve months from Team.

Both vendors list unlimited users above their small plans: Mentionlytics from Advanced, Brand24 from Team.

Mentionlytics's comparison table lists these social sources: X (formerly Twitter), TikTok, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, Reddit, Bluesky and Threads. Brand24 gates its sources by plan: Individual has 7 of the 16 its table lists, and YouTube starts at Team in the comparison table. LinkedIn also starts at Team and covers your own organization profile.

Going over the mention limit

Mentionlytics says its platform warns you before mentions run out so you can buy additional mentions, and its page prints no rate for them. On Brand24, overage fees apply above the mentions limit: $0.25 per 100 additional mentions, a rate printed in the hover text of each plan's mentions limit.

Trials on both sides

Both tools offer a free trial of 14 days with no card. Mentionlytics says you will not be charged at the end of it, and its trial allows up to 3 keywords, 5,000 mentions, 10 social profiles and 5 user seats. Brand24's trial runs on Pro features with up to 10 keywords and 30k mentions. A five-client trial fits Brand24's 10 keywords, not Mentionlytics's 3.
